Victorian Transport Museum Launches Online Collection via The Collecting Bug

The Victorian Transport Museum is proud to announce that a selection of our digitised collection is now available online through The Collecting Bug, giving everyone the opportunity to explore Victoria’s rich transport history from anywhere, at any time.

From tram destination signs and historic uniforms to rare tickets and bus memorabilia, our growing digital collection showcases some of the unique items that tell the story of public transport across the state.

“We’re thrilled to open up our collection to the public in this way,” said a Museum spokesperson. “It allows us to share these important pieces of history beyond our walls and make them accessible to a broader audience.”

We kindly ask for your patience as we continue to upload and catalogue items. Digitising a collection of this size is an ongoing process, and we are working hard to ensure each object is accurately represented with quality images and detailed information. New items will be added regularly, so we encourage you to check back often.
